The JonMaxx Music Group, headed by Bishop Ed. Johnson and Dream House Recording Studio, headed by J.J. Dye, are teaming up to produce a series of church music recordings entitle "Christian Live."  The series will consist of a collection of musical works performed by professional and aspiring gospel music artists.  The individual CD categories will range from church choirs to soloist recorded over a span of sixteen months.

The goal of the project is two-fold.  First: The team of Johnson & Dye wants to fill a huge void left in gospel music by the exodus of artist going “mainstream”.  The richness of the heritage left by so many gospel music pioneers is on the verge of being lost because of this shift in the “industry.”  It is our mission to fill this void and restore the glory of the "church music ministry" left to us by so many gospel legends who have either retired from the work of have move on from labor to reward.

When we speak of church music ministry, we are referring to that interpretation of gospel that easily lends itself to the morning worship experience.  It is rapped in the Holy Scriptures.  It speaks clearly to will and intent of the Father concerning His children.  It declares the majesty and sovereignty of the name of Jesus.  We are talking about that song that pierces the hardness of a man’s heart and causes him to reach for the Father, to give up his wicked ways, to surrender to the complete will of the Lord; and that music that provides hope for those in despair.

Secondly:  We want to give those that minister this type of music an opportunity to do so to further their reach of ministry.  Recording can be very expensive (especially when done properly).  For that reason alone we have developed a plan that we call “recording introduction.”  Let me explain it to you:  The Christian Live project will consist of 4 artists.  Each artist will record 2 songs individually and record 2 songs combined with all choirs for that night; ten songs will have been recorded that night.  All ten of those songs will be made available for sell on one CD.  The performing artist will have the opportunity to sell the product, at their own assigned cost, to raise money for their own full length CD or any other projects they may have need of funding.  The production fee for each artist is only $500.00 (with a three month turnaround after the completion of all studio work).
